AI Yacht Club
An off-the-record, on-the-water salon series
In 2026, Allison Shapira invited a few friends in Washington, DC, who were working in AI, to come out on her boat in Annapolis, MD. It was a lively discussion about AI and the future of humanity. That became the first meeting of the AI Yacht Club.
Now, Allison invites people working in the field of AI to come out on her powerboat or sailboat in Annapolis for the day. It's an intimate group of up to 8 people committed to a Chatham House Rules discussion. No one represents their organization, they show up as individuals who care passionately about how humanity navigates this next phase of human development. There is no cost to attend, but everyone contributes food and drink.
Soon, the AI Yacht Club will expand to countries around the world, and we will charter larger boats.
If you are interested in joining the AI Yacht Club, please fill out the below form and we will keep you posted. We will not sell or share your information; this is simply to keep you in the loop on AI Yacht Club activities. Due to our current boat capacities, we cannot guarantee an invitation to attend.
We welcome other boat owners interested in hosting the AI Yacht Club on their boats. Both powerboats and sailboats are welcome.
